I've been thinkin about getting this tattooed on my shoulder blade, but I'm still not sure about gettin my own art tattooed on myself.

Better YOUR art then someone else's, I think. Created different versions of that tattoo first. Then choose the one you like the most (not what everyone else likes).
Use the Pen Tool to clean it up and print it out for the tattoo artist. I'l help if needed. If it's something you want, then get it. Not many people can say they drew it.

I ran through your pen tutorial again and I think touching this one up will be good practice for using it since I avoid that button like the plague.

lol. I know the feeling. But I eventually put on a Bio-hazard suit and jumped right into it. Got fustrated and stopped for a while. After a break from it, I learned it. Sadly, I wasn't smart enough to look for Tutorials on it. lol
